Toronto Real Estate Market Report June 2020 For the month of June, Greater Toronto Area REALTORS has reported 2,830 sales (down 11.6% year over year), and 6,144 new listings (up 13.8% year over year) in the City of Toronto. Notably, the overall sale prices have increased by 10.4% compared to last year. Additionally, it is important to recognize that the average annual sale prices across all home types have grown, above the rate of inflation. Additionally, this month’s stat...istics indicate a very substantial increase over the May 2020 sales result, both on an actual (+89 percent) and seasonally adjusted basis (+84 percent), and was only down by 1.4 percent compared to June 2019. The strongest average annual rates of price growth were experienced in the detached and semi-detached market segments in the City of Toronto at 14.3 percent and 22 percent respectively. Toronto Real Estate Market Report April 2020 For the month of April, Greater Toronto Area REALTORS has reported 1036 sales, and 2223 new listings, which are down by 67.8% and 61.2% (year over year) respectively, in the City of Toronto. While the overall sale prices have dropped by 2.5% compared to last year, it is interesting to see that the semi-detached and townhouse market segments have experienced annual average price growth above the rate of inflation.
