Do you see light or dark hair? Hint: This is a Trick question.... Our client has blonde hair. All we did in this session was a root touch and a quick tone. We added lots of ash to her tone as she likes to be very ashy, however, ash will make the hair look darker as in this colour line, it is very blue based. We let this process longer than usual to get it really REALLY ashy without it going grey/blue. So for now, it looks like a dark ashy blonde, which was intended, however over time, and as the toner washes out, it will look lighter, and wash out beautifully. Disclaimer: all toners are designed to wash out over time, and depending how often you wash your hair, the porosity of your hair, and products you’re using at home, that can mean anywhere between 4-6-8 weeks. At home maintenance is just as important! I HAD to quit doing hair - Some people have been at their craft for decades now, and I think that’s a very admirable thing. It’s takes a lot of work and dedication to keep at it. It’s not easy. And this one time, I had to quit. ... - I was KILLIN IT in Red Deer with hair extensions, and also did gel nails. It gained me to be able to work from my home based studio, had a great family/work life balance, taking clients 9-5 Monday- Friday with great reviews. I was proud of myself. .... and then I had to quit. I was forced to move to Calgary, as I was having baby #2, and the man I trusted for many years promised to be my #1 support with two kids under 1.5. SO I TOOK THE BAIT. I had to leave all my clients behind, shut down my business, ‘and do the right thing’ Well that was a crock of shit. Without going into grave details, I had a hard decision to make, and after my son was 1 month old, I had to kick him out. Obvs I couldn’t take clients with an unstable home and now trying to navigate having a newborn& a 1 and a half year old BY MYSELF, and I had no idea wtf I was doing. I never saw myself in this type of situation. When my youngest turned 3 months, I served him a parenting order, and child support papers and left. I left the mental, and emotional abuse. I left the trauma my kids almost had to endure, the yelling, the negativity, the hate. It was physically making me sick to stay to the point I was hospitalized, so I just fucking left. Fast forward to the future, I worked my ass off, bartending & working at spas, put myself through hair school @delmar_college and slayed extensions on the side. I knew what I loved. I knew HAIR was what I wanted to do, so I did everything in my power to make sure I could do what I wanted. SO YES!! I QUIT at one point. Because it was damn hard, and I couldn’t possibly pour from my very empty cup. So if you think something is hard, and you’re a failure for having to quit your passion for ANY reason, remember my story. Remember that I also had to quit, but I came back with a vengeance. To do better, be better, accept those around me and slay some MF HAIR! & YOU CAN TO, I believe in you

Soooo we got here in 2 sessions! ... 1st session: full head of highlights + cut 2nd session: We cherry picked out most of the previously done blonde, and did back to back foils, leaving out only the blonde pieces. Went back in, and did very gentle blonding on her previously done blonde! Using @joicocanada @defydamage before we started, and @olaplex during & after blonding, we were able to push her hair further, and safely.
