@Leadership Vancouver Island is pleased to learn that the expansion to the Steve Smith Bike Park near Nanaimo's Beban Park was officially completed and is now open! LVI Project Team Step2 wants to thank everyone involved in this project for making it happen. If it wasn’t for the LVI Program and Team Step2, this awesome little park would be a section of unused brush in a city park and a shelved project with limited paperwork. Now it’s a hub of activity, with kids and adults alike having huge smiles on their face as they enjoy the facility. Step2 Team member Kyle Riley: "I’m stoked on how it turned out, the build crew that was engaged and all the support along the way. I encourage everyone to stop by on a nice evening or weekend day so they can experience the site in its prime."
