This year’s Show’n’Shine fundraiser for ALS in memory of Jimmy Grant will be cancelled due to the public health restrictions still in place. We are hoping to see you all back at Lyall Street Service for the 2021 event. Until then, if you feel so inclined to make a donation to ALS, today, June 20th, is the virtual Walk to End ALS day and this year, Brain Canada will match every dollar raised for ALS research up to $1 million! As the supporters won’t be able to walk together today, my family walked up Mt. Finlayson and my son, Brady, presented his birthday fundraiser cheque up there. The repair and maintenance of vehicles is recognized as an essential service during this pandemic and we are remaining open to serve you. We are deep cleaning and disinfecting our premises, especially the high-touch surfaces. We have taken measures to encourage all our customers to discuss their concerns on the phone with us, instead of doing it in person at drop off or pick up times. Our parts suppliers and tire suppliers are also open and delivering to us as usual. You can also pay over the phone with a credit card or e-transfer money. With all the current concerns, having a reliable vehicle should not be one of them.
