On the eve of the last day of one of the most challenging years I’m sure many of us have experienced, I find myself reflective and more importantly grateful. Because survival and happiness I feel rests on finding things to be grateful for and having gratitude every day. I know some days that felt like a huge ask. Strangely and perhaps a small respite was how quickly I felt the year passed. Some days it also felt like we took three steps back. But throughout all the ups and do...wns and changes and things we’ve had to adapt to, there were moments of kindness and caring and community. I am going to focus on all the good that exists and that showed itself in this year of ugliness. I hope you all have at least one thing every day to be grateful for, beauty to see around you, kindness bestowed and received, and continued health, happiness and love in 2021. There is always light after the dark. Love and light. Happy New Year! Andrew is definitely part of what makes daily gratitude easy. Don't grow up, see the world through a child's eyes, wear silly hats and make sillier faces. Eat well, love much, laugh often!

Finally got around to hanging up this gorgeous gallery framed photography print from local (to my neighbourhood, how awesome) nature photographer @rachelle_richard_photography . Taking a place of honour next to my Dad who loved herons and could be seen on a lawn chair in the lake with a pair of binoculars admiring them but hopefully not causing concern from passing boaters and paddlers !
