Day 5 and final day for me of the art challenge. A small watercolour done in New Brunswick on the way to visit family in Halifax. I love the colours after the leaves fall and the tamarack are golden and the moss brilliant green on the rocks. I sure missed seeing them this summer and usually try to get there either in fall or spring. Not happening at all this year with Covid 19 restrictions. I now nominate cousin Kevin McIntosh in Calgary to do 5 days of posting his art.

Day 4 of the art challenge. I came across this water colour, one of my first, (1972) while sorting out the studio. Not a wonderful painting but significant in that this is the view down the valley (Balls flats) from our living room window on Westvale drive. Sure was a lovely view but just look at it now. Day 3 of the art challenge. We have amazing cranberry marshes in Muskoka. I love to go to Johnston’s in the fall to get a big bag of the berries for the freezer. This is an 8 x 10 of their marsh.

Day 2 of the Art Challenge. I came across some sketches that were done when I took a group of artists to paint in Newfoundland. What a great trip. I can hardly wait to get a chance to go back to do it again. This was a watercolour done on location on the Bonavista Peninsula.
