Happy Good Friday, everyone! Every year, I remember going for a nice walk on Easter weekend and the weather being great. Today it was just this. We had a lovely time this morning out for our walk and we thought we'd share some of the sights we saw.... There was a little ice on shallow water pools, made for a nice brisk walk and birds were out eating and hunting. We were able to see some Sandhill Cranes, Hawks lots of ducks, Swans, Killdeers and many more sparrows. I also, included the mink we saw the other day in a different area. It's colour I especially liked and it's optimism in finding me his friend as he ran and played on the road. I took lots of videos to keep myself safe and sound over this next 3rd wave beginning. Happy April, Friends! :) We were out doing our thing this week and saw a few more birds migrating into the area. Trumpeter Swans are still here as well as the Mute Swans. What a delight to see Teal Winged Ducks, Tree Swallows and a Mink! He came running right down the road to me. There were Northern Harriers, Eagles, a few little birds starting to venture in as well.... I took many videos to enjoy if we do get the cold weather they call for. Maybe I'll share a few of them another time. And yes it Snowed overnight! Till then, enjoy! :) Don't forget to say: Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit! Finally, having a chance to sign, this painting this morning, I felt it would be good to share it with you. There is such a serene feeling in this great vast land, in Northern Ontario. While sitting in the middle of the Lake, in a Muskoka chair on the edge of a peninsula, at Oxtonque Lake. What a wonderful, feeling of just being one in nature.... This painting is a tiny glimpse into this Lake and area we call our second home. I began sketching this painting with acrylics while on a boat right on this Lake. I love sketching outdoors and especially on water. Once back in the studio I applied oil transparencies to reflect my interpretation of what I felt this day. Well isn't this nice to see today! Memories of a painting from 3 years ago selling in The Algonquin Park Exhibit! I have a framed print of this Sunset over Tea Lake hanging above my office desk.... FB is telling me it was my most Loved picture for that year! Nice they keep track and remind us. Thought I'd post him for those that may have never seen him or those who wish to enjoy him again. Starting a New Mini Series from Algonquin!

It is nice to be reminded of what you've done and share with those that we've just recently met. Those who have been with us through the years, stopped by, said Hello, some even brought us lunch and enjoyed the view as we painted away! These Public Murals we restored back in 2004-5, I believe. Kevin and I Carried the scaffolding, set it up. Climbed to the top and painted from sun up to sun set! It was a sure pleasure and we met so many wonderful people. Hey, I heard it's International coffee day! So, I went out on the balcony with my Keurig brewed Timmes (we call it this in Canada) and read from a book My Mother and I purchased.... Funny thing is I opened the book to a page that talks about strengthening your hands for your works! How will you have your coffee today? Or how did you have your coffee today?
