BC health officials are releasing new COVID19 modelling numbers this morning. They should be good given the Premier said this week that there was "reason to celebrate" - but before you get ahead of yourself - I am pretty sure that doesn't mean lifting of restrictions anytime soon. It's been pointed out that I haven't posted in a while! I don't know why...I think I'm falling into a COVID19 work from home pattern that begins with scanning 10 online papers - listening to the PM's morning newser - a half hour walk/jog depending on how my knees and ankles are feeling - then several hours of show prep and the show itself. The thing I'm missing the most is the face to face interaction with other people. FaceTime is great! But not the same. I've managed t...o touch bases with most of my closest friends...even had a couple of FaceTime wine nights with girlfriends. I'm so lucky to have a great husband - but I do miss seeing my friends and my co-workers in person. 98% of the time I'm resigned to this new reality. On occasion, a burbling I'M GOING TO LOSE IT sentiment creeps up and I manage to tamp it down. I trust our health officials - I'm doing what I'm supposed to to help flatten the curve, but I sure am getting sick of this self imposed isolation stuff. I am guessing we're in this situation until late summer, early fall? Wow. 2020 started with such promise... now I can hardly wait for 2021 so we can all get a fresh start. I am grateful to be doing my radio show right now though - if I didn't have that to consume most of my day I think I would go crazy. So I hope you're all hanging in and staying healthy... it will be a serious celebration when we're on the other side of this! See more
