As you're all aware, there were no community events last year, so we didn't go to any. This year looks like more of the same. But don't worry, were still here farming, supplying your grocery store and will also have sheep manure and an expanded line of vegetable plants ready for purchase this spring.
We've got lots of rabbit sausage in stock! Mild Italian available now and Honey Garlic coming very soon.
Still some left if you haven't had time to start your garden, or if you want to expand it. Cash or e-transfer accepted.
We still have plenty of bags of compost, and many different types of tomato plants available at the roadway. Cash or e-transfer accepted for payment.
The sheep compost has been quality control checked and is out at the roadside ready for pickup this weekend. E-transfer or cash accepted for payment. Please let me know if you need a large number of bags, because I will set them aside for you. Please also remember that our farm is CLOSED to the public. We are under strict biosecurity for the health of our family and animals, and no public visitors will be permitted on site. Please respect the posted signs. We have no events planned for 2020 due to Covid-19 canceling most of the events we attend, but we look forward to seeing all of you out in the community next year.
Stirling Fair this weekend. A bit of a drive from our place, but a great Agricultural Fair still focused on livestock. And there's a great Ag Museum on site.
Milk: because who wants to eat that much spinach at once!
Picking up some more wood before the big snow!
Today we are at Cedarview Alliance Church in Nepean. Hubert can't figure out why the ducks keep repeatedly dunking their heads in a water bucket. He is much more civilized when he drinks.
Pick up later tonight or tomorrow morning between 8-10am. Quantities are limited!
My blower is technically for the show lambs and calves, but today this newborn Holstein heifer was a little cold and wet just after it was born, so we helped her out with a good blow dry. She also got a bottle of colostrum so she's off to a good start.
If you have pumpkins leftover from Halloween, our animals would love to eat them. We will be going to Gananoque on Monday to pick some up, let us know if you have any available.
We are at the Royal Winter Fair for the weekend. Yesterday, we explored the fair, today we are showing.
He always has to be the first one into the pool.
She was going to ride home the 'running board' but we told her that's illegal now.
We were at the Battersea Pumpkin Festival today.
I love how Quail eggs come in so many colors and patterns. The white ones are really rare with our birds. If you haven't tried a quail egg, you're missing out. We have them for sale this week for $3.00/dozen or 2 dozen for $5. Normally we sell them for $3.50/dozen, so try them while they're at this great price.
