Calling all parents! What sort of things do you teach your kids about money?

Lyndsay Park 29.01.2021

According to a recent study, 95% of parents require their children to do household chores in exchange for an allowance. Do money lessons learned at a young age impact our financial decisions later in life? What did your parents teach you about money?... Did they give you words of wisdom or did they teach you by example? How did their views affect your perception of finances later on in life? If you think their influence has been less than positive, how did you overcome them? #finance #moneymatters #moneylessons #financialliteracy #financialadvisor #femaleentrepreneur

I wanna talk about BELIEF!!! In yourself, In your goals, In your LIFE! Raise a hand or two if you have ever felt like this person: Leaves everything to the last minute... Does not have a plan! Does not have clearly defined goals Thinks that everything happens to them and not for them Makes a list of things to accomplish, gets overwhelmed and decides, I’ll try again tomorrow Has a side hustle or new business idea but gets caught in analysis paralysis Thinks themselves out of the idea before even giving it an honest chance At some point in time I have been ALL of these! I literally used to tell people that I was born 2 weeks late and I’ve been late ever since - my excuse for not showing up for myself and others in my life I have never been good at keeping a schedule, running my own business has forced me to hold myself accountable- not only for my time, but out of respect for others as well. At a certain point in my life I did not believe that I deserved to have success- my excuses became bigger than my WHY I have made events in my life about me instead of understanding the lesson that was being shown to me. Ya’ll!!! Tomorrow is never going to come- just get on the damn court. Analysis paralysis and I used to be BESTIES! I am learning to Mind my Mind- watch what YOU are telling yourself everyday! Change and Chasing after your dreams is HARD- if it wasn’t everyone would be building bomb a$$ multi-billion dollar companies and living in Bora Bora. You have to choose You, over and over and over again. Even when it seems like it’s impossible and nothing is changing. You can choose to step out of your comfort zone- it’s literally just one step away from providing you with amazing things. Take that risk sis! (or sir) If for no other reason than you deserve it #belief #mindyourmind #financetips #femaleentrepreneur #financialadvisor #millennialmoney #takeactionnow

I Have Failed. In business, in sports, in love, in relationships and so many other places in my life. I have missed out on working with amazing clients.... I have spent countless hours working on a plan only for them to say: looks great! We just need to think about it. I have lost hundreds of games throughout my fastball career. I have walked more batters as a pitcher than I can remember. I have struck out at bat watching that perfect pitch go by knowing I should be taking that swing. I have failed to be a great friend, girlfriend, co-worker, employee, sister, aunt, daughter, cousin, grand-daughter, niece, over and over again. . . . And that is what fuels my fire. To wake up every single day and find ways to be better than I was yesterday. To read the books that are going to help me succeed in business and in life. To surround myself with people who are bigger and better than I am so I can learn from them as my mentors. . . . Is it hard? HELL YES. Do I think about quitting every single day? YUP. So why keep going? BECAUSE MY VISION IS BIGGER THAN MY EXCUSES. . Some days I don’t know how I’m going to get there. But a great mentor told me this: Just start with the first step. And don’t ever forget why you started. #femaleentrepreneur #motivationmonday #financialadvisor #financetips #womeninbusiness

Happy Friday Fam Most days I forget what day it actually is, that Groundhog Day movie really nailed how most people are feeling lately. Spending the afternoon feeling grateful for my gorgeous office view, my business I can run in my pyjamas, and most of all-my amazing clients who trust me to keep their financial house standing tall during a pandemic... #financialadvisor #financecoach #millennialmoney #investinyourself #financetips
