People always are curious what supplements I take, so when this article showed up in my inbox this morning, I thought I'd take some time over my coffee and write this for you. Have you heard of Choline, or more specifically, Phosphatidylcholine (PC)? It's one of those supplements that's in my daily routine. This not so well known supplement is shockingly important and I'm happy to share some PC love and info today.... 1.Cell membrane and cell communication- even mitochondrial membranes ( which translates to energy and better function). Remember high school and the electron transport chain in the mitochondrial membrane? This stuff is key it it's optimization and therefore, key in your energy. 2. It helps increases the bioavailability of some water soluble nutrients like Glutathione, Vitamin C and B vitamins by forming spheres that can bind effortlessly to your gut lining and allow these key nutrients to absorb. 3. It improves brain and neurological health as it makes ACH ( a key neurotransmitter) as well as helps form the mylelin sheath. What this means for you, is better neurological health (proven to reduce dementia and increase cognitive performance). 4. It helps build the little lipoproteins that carry fat and cholesterol from your digestive tract to your liver and then from your liver to where it needs to go it the body. Without it, your liver has to store all of that fat and cholesterol = FATTY LIVER . Low levels of PC are directly implicated in fatty liver disease which is associated with obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome includes high Bp, high blood sugar, elevated triglycerides and cholesterol and increased belly fat. 5. It's extremely important in your methylation cycle (I suggest you read this part of the article because it's hard to explain) especially if you have SNPS that slow down functioning here ( eg. PEMT, MTR, MTRR, MTHFR) 6. It 's been shown to help heal the mucosal barrier and very helpful for those with ulcerative colitis. I have no affiliation with Core Med Sciences, so can' t help you with a discount, but it's the brand of PC and glutathione that I use.

In the Whole30 Community, we like to call the benefits of Whole30 "Non-Scale Victories" or "NSVs" for short. These are the wonderful benefits you may gain from doing Whole30 that have nothing to do with weight loss. (Remember, Whole30 is NOT a diet!) Here are 10 very common NSVs, and great reasons to do Whole30.... Less belly bloat- Bloating has everything to do with the foods we eat & how well we digest & absorb the nutrients from those foods. If foods are causing inflammation, then you’ll have bloating. Better sleep-Most people who do Whole30 report better sleep than they’ve experienced in years. Who doesn't want to sleep like a ? Increased Energy Levels- One of the things I hear most from my clients while doing Whole30 is "I have so much more energy!" When you think of all the nutrient dense food, its not you’ll have more energy. Less Brain Fog- I've heard time and time again from clients, friends, and fellow coaches just how many people feel clearer, sharper and more alert while doing Whole30! Healthier digestion- No matter what your GI struggles, most people who do Whole30, see improvements in their digestion while doing Whole30. Less headaches- Do you get chronic headaches and migraines? This one is a well known NSV. Clearer Skin- Acne is typically caused by external and internal influences. What we put on our body and what we put in our body. Both dairy and sugar are known to cause acne and are two of the things you’ll remove during your whole 30. I bet you’ll be shocked at the results! Less Inflammation-Most of the food groups that are removed on Whole30 are known for sensitivities and inflammation. If you remove foods that are causing systemic inflammation, it will be shockingly noticeable. Clothes fit better-Yes, this one is a NSV. You may notice your body composition change Healthier habits with food- Most of us have emotional relationships with food. Resetting those relationships and creating healthier habits will only continue to help you find lasting health, both mentally and physically. So, are you ready to change your life now, 1 meal at a time? LINK IN BIO to join. Our official start date is Sept 14

I wanted to do it but deep down I didn’t think I’d be able to. I was afraid of looking like a failure to my girlfriends- especially since I was the nutrition practitioner in the group= PRESSURE... That’s exactly how I felt when a few of us were contemplating @whole30. 100% elimination? No cream in my coffee? No cheese? No grains? No oatmeal or past No alcohol? What about my pinot that I love? No treats? I had to muster a lot of courage to go 100% for 30 days BUT turns out it was absolutely life changing. All of my cravings- GONE My mindless eating GONE My desire for my glass of wine? GONE My sweet tooth- GONE An excess 7 lbs- GONE My appetite- totally normal and surprisingly small My hunger- Totally in control Sleeping like a baby Energy like crazy Aches and pains- Gone My brain: clear and clam My emotions were even I even stopped needing my reading glasses SERIOUSLY. I learned That I can handle a teeny bit of dairy but not too much That gluten messes with my moods and brain That I can go out and not drink That sugar is addictive That I can have some grains without them bothering me That I can have freedom around my food and feel calm, in control and at peace with it If you’re ready to see what the Whole 30 will do for you... Join our Whole 30 group. We’re starting TODAY to prepare and the official start date is Sept 14. After the 30 days we’ll be doing a strategic reintroduction over 2 weeks (it’s the most important part). My name is Lynne Ryan. I’m a FDNP & Certified Whole 30 Coach, & I’ll be supporting and guiding you through this life changing experiment. This is a totally free gift from me to you. The Whole 30 changed my life & my relationship with food & I would LOVE to help you give that gift to yourself. If you have questions, please either comment below or DM me privately.
