Today we are remembering one of the annual events that Lyons ran- the McMaster 24 Hour Film Challenge. This event began in 2012 and was open to all McMaster students who wanted the challenge of filming a 5 minute film from concept to finished product in under 24 hours. Each year we had a number of teams participate. It was a great learning experience as well as fun. We held a gala screening night to view the submissions and award prizes. ... Wednesday, September 30th, marks Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day started in 2013 as part of a healing journey for Residential School survivors. This annua...l event recognizes the children and youth that were separated from their families to attend Residential Schools. The day serves to educate all Canadians on the trauma and legacy of Residential Schools and build bridges for future generations.
