A Message from Diana Riley -- PHRF ====================== Hello,... I know you are getting ready for the sailing season and getting things organized for your 2013 Regatta. It looks like it is going to be a great summer for sailing. I wanted to remind you that PHRF-LO and its volunteers are also getting ready for a busy racing season and that getting a certificate can be difficult during that time. So in order to ensure that your participants are not be disappointed, we suggest that you publish a statement informing them that: PHRF-LO may not be able to issue a cert for a new class of boat if a completed application form is not received at least 30 days before your event. And a "Rush fee" may be charged for late applications. Our hope is that when registering for your event that they check to ensure they have a Valid PHRF-LO Certificate or contact their club handicapper to obtain one. Owners can check the status of their certificate on-line by selecting "Valid Lists" from our Main Menu. They can also obtain information about applying by selecting"About Us", "Getting a Certificate" from our Main Menu. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
