Today's #ONBudget drops the ball on getting us through #COVID safely & fails to lay foundation for recovery. Ford continues to be a day late and dollars short ...in taking action. Clearly he has failed to learn the essential lessons of the pandemic. #onpoli https://gpo.ca//24/fords-budget-blind-to-ontarians-reality/ See more

A passionate new supporter from Whitby has launched an online petition asking the federal government to end, once and for all, any plans to build an airport on ...the prime -- and increasingly precious -- farmland of North Pickering. Please take a minute to sign and to share: https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details In case you were under the impression that this was settled long ago, and that no one would be crazy enough to suggest a new airport on foodland now, of all times, during a global pandemic that has decimated the aviation industry -- wrong! The City of Pickering is actively campaigning for just that. On October 8 they held a symposium for developers promoting their pet project -- an aerotropolis!!

No to paving over the Greenbelt. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. It stores 71 million tonnes of carbon in the fight against climate change and provides $3 b...illion in ecological services like flood prevention. Not to mention the 5,000 farms. There is plenty of other land that can be used for homes, businesses, and highways. We'll keep saying it: Hands off the Greenbelt.
