Female visual artists have created two large scale murals with youth at High Schools in Fort Albany & Attawapiskat in the past two years. Both projects were gui...ded by Indigenous Artists and received consultation with Elders. After seeing the incredible results, Pikangikum and Natuashish have inquired about murals that celebrate traditional Indigenous Art in their schools. Nipissing Warrior Series. Did you ever wonder who was behind the now famous Warrior Crest? It was Rick Sawyer who didn't play hockey but was a talented artist ...and musician. He was a brother to Warriors Tom, Randy and John. The crest today has become our logo for all our hockey players, boys and girls. As one of the Warriors, there is a great deal of pride when I see the young people today wearing the Warrior colors. See more
