It feels so good to start the year off like this!! Thanks to your support of Baba’s Borshch throughout December and together with our friends at Purkids Foundation we raised $400 which was donated to the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank today! And did you know that the Food Bank is able to buy $3 worth of food with every $1 donated? That means $1,200 worth of food can be purchased with our donation which makes us so happy We love our community and it’s our desire to gi...ve back and support charities making a local impact. This time last year we had no idea what 2020 would look like on the other side... and wow... what a ride it was As I reflect on the year I am grateful and feel blessed. My family and loved ones are all healthy. I feel blessed for the adventure my family had in Vietnam early in the year and for all the trips we’ve taken together over the years. Seeing the travel industry, which I love and have devoted 20 years to, disappear almost overnight was seriously heartbreaking to me.... This loss helped me look at things differently and pushed me to pivot and focus on my other passion. I feel so blessed for family, friends and our community which helped support and encourage my new adventure in the kitchen! I am so excited for what’s to come in 2021. I have so many plans for Mac & Mimi’s and look forward to sharing them with you. Thank you for your support. Cheers to good health, happiness, new adventures and of course delicious food
