As of December 26th all Ontario funeral homes will move into GREY zone restrictions - with funeral services limited to 10 attendees. These directives come from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) that regulate and licence the provinces funeral homes.

Commencing December 25 to comply with COVID19 restrictions, we will be locking the front doors of our funeral homes. This is required to protect the funeral home staff and the families we serve. The facility will be staffed and service will continue by appointment only until restrictions allow. Thank you for understanding, Scott MacCoubrey

Mensen, Vali Lorraine Vali passed peacefully on Saturday September 12, 2020, with her children around her at the age of 62. She was the loving Mother of Michael, Lindsay, and Laura and Proud grandmother of Lucas, Everett, Samuel, and Walter. A Dear sister to Jean, Jim, and Ruth. Vali will be greatly missed, but her vibrant spirit will live on through those she loved. A visitation will be held on Sunday September 20, 2020 in the morning from 10-11 am & 11-12 pm, and again in the afternoon from 1-2 pm & 2-3 pm at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg. COVID-19 We are often asked why "grocery store style lineups" are not permitted for funerals and visitations? The answer is that people generally don't feel the need to hug and socialize outside a store. Quite the opposite when trying to console someone who is grieving. #keepeveryonesafe
