MSE was successful in picking up the 2nd phase of structural steel for the UPEI Residency project. Phase 1 installation is underway. Over 1100 ton of steel will be fabricated at MSE Borden PE plants for this project. #construction #structuralsteel

We here at MSE are always excited when our crews get recognition for Safety. #safetyleadershipaward MacDougall Steel Erectors, the structural steel crew from our Merit project is this month’s Safety Leadership Award winner! ... MSE have been on the Merit Functional foods site since April 13, 2020. To start their time with us here in Manitoba the first crew had to self-quarantine in their condo in Winnipeg for 14 days before they could even come to the site. During this time they were able to complete a BIRD online safety orientation. Only having to complete the site specific orientations when they arrived and from then on they have been 100% focused on production, quality and safety! They are working diligently 12hrs a day 7 days a week and by the looks on their faces and their positive attitudes you can tell that they love what they do, and are great at it! Shane, Jamie and Ryan have done a great job getting the crews and materials organized and erected in a safe manner at all time. If there are any issues or concerns brought forward they are very approachable and quick to resolve the concern in a positive manner. This crew has been a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Thank you to MacDougall Steel for hosting another successful staff AGM. Also, thank you to High on the Hog Smokin’ BBQ for a great meal. It has been a great year and thank you all for your hard work throughout it. Happy Holidays everyone.

MSE is involved in a couple of Manitoba’s school initiative projects. This is the Wasagamack First Nation school. Fabricated January - February 2019 shipped to site over ice roads. Then the MSE crews flown in to erect.
