October is Registered Veterinary Technologist Month in Canada. We employ 7 RVTs at our practice, and they are integral to your pet's care. From assisting with exams, taking radiographs, administering and monitoring anesthesia, giving medications, being dental hygienists, keeping stock of inventory, doing care calls, they are there for you and your pets. Sweet little Nova came in to have her checkup and vaccines with Dr. Hill. She loved the tasty snacks we offered and looks forward to coming back! Puppies and kittens don't seem to mind their vaccines when they are distracted by positive things such as treats and praise :)
