We are based in the tree-lined mountains of the Shuswap near Salmon Arm, BC. So, the #ShopTheSouthShuswap Passport program gave Michelle the perfect reason to go back to Jack Sam's Restaurant at the Quaaout Lodge and Talking Rock Golf to have their #Shuswap Charcuterie Board again, but this time she got her passport stamped! As usual the board was amazing and featured a pheasant pate that was to die for with their homemade Bannock.

Olivia went on a little road trip through the Rockies this past weekend. What a beautiful slice of earth we live on

ORGANIC is our word of the day We believe in both planned and organic social media content. The nature of our business makes it easier for pre-planned, scheduled content, however we dont believe in taking the easy way out when the state of the world calls for more organic content. We are creating more organic content than ever for our clients because things need to be said NOW rather than later. Organic social posts also tend to see a higher engagement rate as people want... to see some of the day-to-day of their favourite businesses. If you dont have time to get any real-time posts out, Stories is an easy fix for that! Show some raw live footage or photos without worrying how it will mess up your feed! Scheduled content then allows a business overall message to be disseminated while maintaining consistency on those busy days.

Happy #EarthDay! What a beautiful little slice we have

No one could have planned for what were going through right now... And although were both planners at heart, weve learned to adapt and take things as they come. Weve grown as business owners and have strengthened our relationships with clients. Im even going to take this time to become (officially) certified in Google ads (something on my to-do list for a long time)! I would have started to gear up for my wedding with events starting as early as this week. Things arent looking like I had planned but thats ok Spring is here in the Shuswap, businesses are collaborating and creating, people are volunteering and connecting and were all doing alright -Liv

Happy Easter lovelies The ice is almost all gone off of White Lake today, but we still got out and enjoyed this beautiful weather in other ways I took a drive to Shannon beach and Olivia did a little fishing on Shuswap Lake (no luck this time). -M

During these uncertain times, self-care is so important. As Im plugged in with work most of the day, finding time for myself has been a bit challenging. What Im finding most difficult is not spending time with my adult kids and grand dog, but mobile apps like House Party, Zoom and FaceTime have been a saving grace in allowing me to still feel connected to them! Fresh air, long walks, chats with besties on the phone over a glass of wine, watching our community come together, and some serious spring cleaning have all helped to lift my spirits. Not to mention the calming view of the lake from my deck! (No this photo isnt my view but it sure is dreamy ) Stay happy and healthy all! -Michelle

Cheers to TWO YEARS of Mackay Marketing! Little did Michelle and I know when we started up shop in little Blind Bay that two years later, we would continue to grow and do this full-time. Thank you to our amazing clients for continuing to trust and support us We love being able to collaborate with fellow small businesses and other creative individuals to get beautiful stories out to the community. These past few weeks have showed us the resilience of the Shuswap business... community. It has been inspiring to see people come together and support one another amidst a cloud of unknown. Were in this together and what a party well have when we come out the other side #shuswapstyle p.s. were bummed we couldnt get a group photo but Michelle will be up next!

Keep Calm + Self-Care On Its ok to not be ok... so take care of yourself the best you can. Whatever works best for YOU Here are some of the things that we try to do to break up our screen time: go for a walk, work out with the Tone It Up app at home, cuddle the dog, watch a new movie, have a long hot bubble bath, FaceTime with friends, read a book (just ordered some new ones online!), house projects, bake something new or journal. Even doing only one or two of these th...ings a day makes us feel better! We also enjoy capping it off by sitting on the deck at the end of the day with a glass of wine or pint or beer Cheers to Friday!

Its been a trying week for all around the world... As social media marketers, weve been plugged in all week doing our best to keep up with updates and client posts. Our priority is to get our client messages out in addition to the messages of the wider business community. Our ask is that everyone reads businesses carefully thought out messages and that they adhere to new policies or procedures. This is for the well-being of the entire community. Its a tall coffee cup kind of day! . Were in the midst of on boarding new clients and working on refreshed strategies for existing clients... it can seem overwhelming juggling multiple brands at once but we like to chunk out our time to make it more manageable. . We designate 1-4 hour time blocks to different tasks so we can give our 100% focus to that specific task. Then its time to move onto the next! Who else feels like were on the 100th day of January?! Michelle and I have taken the month to reflect and plan so we can crush our goals for the year. Turns out, we picked a great time because this January has been a snowy one! But warmer temps means we can breakout of this cabin fever and were pretty happy about that!

Im finally on route back to the Shuswap from Vancouver! Already missing the Vietnam sun but loving the fresh mountain air of home. Travelling around these past two weeks has really reminded me of the power of social media. We had the chance to meet some great people along the way (both fellow travellers and Vietnam residents) and were able to connect with them on social media. Sharing these experiences and being able to continue on their journey through social media is pretty dang cool if you ask me @ Vietnam
