Even on our faces we have places where light is harder to reach, darkness where light is absorbed, beautiful chocolate brown eyes, the space between parted lips, the delicate folds of the nose that create caves that carry life into our body, with a pen or pencil it is commonly not the light, but the darkness that we draw. When we focus on light and dark at the same time using only the value that is in our hands, we are understanding what we see. Light creates shapes of shadow...s, shadows creates shapes of light, and the combination of light and dark creates the arrangements of light that sharpen our focus, and the darkness that depolarizes our minds. 2021MackenzieAllen Ink on paper.
