1st ITF Online World Taekwon-Do Championship 2021. The ITF Executive Board in consultation with the responsible committees, has decided to hold the 1st Online T...aekwon-Do World Championship for Patterns and Traditional Sparring from September 4th to September 19th 2021. The difference to the previous year's e-tournament is that only black belts of the national teams will be eligible to compete at the world championships. The results from this event will be posted on the official ITF website with certificates and medals being awarded. The Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation (CTFI) held it's first National E-Tournament offering events in many categories for ages 6+, white belt and above. These events included Individual Patterns and Team Pre-Arranged Sparring. This E-Tournament played host to participants from 31 member clubs and 331 competitors. We are very excited to announce that MacKenzie Taekwon-Do placed 1st Overall with the highest medal ranking. Thank you to our entire team for making this possible. Cong...ratulations to everyone who participated, to our medal winners and our 9 new National Champions! A special thank you to Mr. LoPresti for helping with the video uploads and to our umpires Mr. LoPresti, Mrs. Royer, Mr. Digdon and Mrs. Freeman. Your involvement helps makes these events possible. Also, a big thank you to Master Reinelt and Master Downey for their tireless efforts in organizing this event on behalf of CTFI as well as the effort of the 42 umpires who volunteered their time to judge all of the matches. Due to COVID restrictions we are unable to have parents in during classes. Some parents watch from their car, some standing at the window, others will watch form the live stream. But today some father's had a TAILGATE party while watching Little Dragons. Awesome!!

We are excited to announce that we will be conducting a Women's Self Defense Course on Sunday, May 16th from 9:00am - 12:00pm being held at MacKenzie Taekwon-Do (21 Glen Arbour Way, Hammonds Plains). This course is open to all female members, spouses, mothers, family and friends, so please pass this along to anyone that you think may interested. No Experience Necessary! Only $49 (+HST) for a three hour course. This course will cover several aspects of self defense and safety ...awareness. Our Street Smart Self Defense course manual is also included - a great resource to take with you upon completion of the course. We have had many requests to hold this course and it will fill quickly. The Panamerican Taekwon-Do Federation held it's first PanAmericano E-Tournament offering events in many categories for ages 10+, green belt and above. These events included Individual Patterns, Team Patterns and Team Pre-Arranged Sparring. This E-Tournament played host to participants from 22 countries, 85 member clubs, 506 competitors. We are very excited to announce that MacKenzie Taekwon-Do placed 1st Overall with the highest medal ranking. Today's government announcement confirmed the closure of gym and fitness facilities as well as Sport and athletic activities. So effective Wednesday, November 25th all "in Dojang" classes will be cancelled. However we will continue with our online classes.
