Did you know that horses get two sets of teeth just like humans, and their permanent teeth continue to grow for most of their lives?!! Fun Fact!! That’s why go...od dental hygiene is important for our equine partners too. Utilizing food more efficiently, better performance and a happier, healthier horse are just a few of rewards from preventative dental maintenance. Yesterday we welcomed equine dentist, Grant MacKinnon of MacKinnon Equine Services to take care of a few dental checkups and floats. As you can see, he’s getting a good look here at our tooth model, APH Eyerish Playboy. We don't know if horses like visits with the dentist any more than the average human, but we sure do notice a significant difference from Grant's work!!!

This is interesting...look at the intact fighting male's teeth. This old boy has broken and crooked teeth, fighting for his herd of mares. The younger male will prevail. Better dentition means a healthier and stronger body regardless if wild or domestic.
