We are closing this Friday, December 17th until Monday, January 3rd to give ourselves and our staff a much needed couple of weeks off to spend time with family and friends. It truly pains me to have to write this this post. Our company has been in business 7 years this December. Over that time we have gotten to know many, many of our regular customers and myself, Mrs. MacMullin look forward to chatting seasonally with all of them. During this time of year (fall heating season) my husband Lawrence is on the road upwards of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. So the only person to answer the phone here at the office is me. And that's usually not an i...ssue at all......until this year. I am absoulitly appalled at the way some chronological adults feel it's ok to talk to folks in the service industry. I understand it's been a tough couple of years for people. It's been a tough couple of years for us too. And just like everyone who works in the service industry. We, are also people. This time of year is always busy. With the rising cost of furnace oil, this year has been exceptionally busy. Understandably so. But understanding, is a 2 way street. As I said above, I am absoulitly appalled at the way some folks think it's ok to talk to people in the service industry. Everyone, absoulitly everyone who works in the home heating field and is good at what they do, weather it be oil furnace, wood stove, gas, heatpumps.....is flat out right now. Everyone. And unlike winter tires which have to be put on a vehicle after the temperature is consistently below a certain degree, service on your wood stove, pellet stove, oil burner, gas burner and anything I might have missed does NOT have to be done AFTER it gets cold. Ok? You can get your service done to any of the above during the summer. When it's not as busy. I have been strongly encouraging our regular customers to get their yearly service done during the summer and many of them have been doing that. But if you choose to wait until it gets cold to call for service and expect someone to be there that day or the next day....we cannot make that happen this time of year. And no amount of yelling, threatening, bullying, verbal abuse, personal attacks, and many more absoulitly horrid experiences I've had this year with so called adults....is going to change that. We make it a point to treat our customers like we'd like to be treated and we expect the same from our customers. So if you are a person who believes it's ok to be an abusive bully to service people???? Don't call us. We neither want nor need your business. If you want good customer service, be a good customer. Yearly service for wood or pellet stoves includes chimney cleaning, inside cleaning of stove, inspecting and cleaning any and all moving parts for pellet stoves. Checking for cracked bricks in wood stoves and checking that all gaskets are in good condition for both wood and pellet buring units. We also deep clean all models of heat pumps. Hi folks. We have some unfortunate news. Due to our inability to consistently source chimney parts we will not be doing any wood estimates or installs until the new year. Plant shut downs last spring have made obtaining chimney and chimney parts incredibly difficult to obtain at this time. We are doing our best to try to get the installs we have already booked done but we will not be doing any new estimates until we can reliably obtain the materials needed to complete the job...s. If things change over the next month or so we will let you know. We are still doing estimates and installs for pellet stoves and heat pumps and are booking cleanings and repairs on wood and pellet stoves and cleanings on heat pumps. We cannot apologise enough for this but we are at the mercy of the supply chain and have no control over the materials we can source. Thank you. See more

I love chatting with our customers:) I had a call yesterday from someone we did an estimate for last week. She said there must be something wrong with our numbers. How can we possibly do the heat pump job we estimated for $5,800 when the other estimates she got (and she got a lot) were $10,000 or more for the same job, same unit? We must have made a mistake???? Nope, no mistake, thats the right price. She said how is this possible? I told her simple, we keep our overhead r...eally, really low. We are a home based business so no building or warehouse to maintain and pay for, so that cost is not passed on to the customer. We contract out to other small local, businesses for specific skills and that keeps our payroll cost low, so that cost is not passed on to the customer. And by hiring us, your not only supporting our small local company, your also supporting many other small local companies.
