We are set to return to IN PERSON classes next week (January 31). Class times and sizes will be the same as before Christmas Break. We will still be offering zoom this week at the same times as last week. We are excited to see everyone. Class days and times will remain the same. Ensure your dancer is dressed ready to dance, in a space of adequate size, water near by and with out any distractions if possible!... Sooo. Our in person classes have been put on hold as per yesterdays announcement. Please stand by while we figure out next steps. What we are considering: 1) zoom classes, 2) wait until February 3.) smaller more personalized shorter video meetings with assignments. ... If anyone is interested in distanced private or semi private in person tutoring please reach out privately.

We look forward to seeing our wee little dancing elves back BUT we are going to delay the start date in following suit with the local school boards. Our regular class schedule will recommence on Monday, January 10 2022. We hope that dancers take this extra week to locate their dance slippers, practice their stretches, and be ready for a fun rest of the year. Competition classes will start as usual THIRSDAY Jan 6 at 6 pm.... Also Mark your Calendars!! Exam day is April 21 2022!!!

Today was the last day of HDAO online zoom dance expos. Today was also the first day that I finally convinced my own girls to participate. They did a wonderful job in Primary and Beginner levels. They also had the opportunity to ask champion dancer Sophie Hamilton real time questions. Good luck to Ava who participates later this morning!

Attention Dancers!!! Congratulations to all of our students who completed their exams this week! Everyone did very well and I’m so proud of each and every one of you. This weeks classes will include our new material, new dances and new steps to work on as well as confidential review of exam results. ... All prepayments have now completed and runout. Current class fees are due per class moving forward for dancers on all evenings. IMPORTANT REMINDER that if you’re unable to attend a class please provide ample notice or fees will be due on same day cancellation. This week looks like some cold and wet weather so please prepare to dance inside. Next week looks like a return of summer weather so we hope to be outside again. THANK YOU To Orianna, Rachel and Elizabeth who continue to add creative energy and positive encouragement every day! NO COMPETITION CLASSES THIS THURSDAY!

DANCE EXAM REMINDER Tomorrow is the big day for some of our students. Please ensure you have your time for arrival. Fees are past due and should be received today. They are unchanged from the spring. Dancers should arrive with hair in buns, knee socks on, ghillies ready and already to go. ... Washroom facilities and change rooms are limited. Updated temporary costume restrictions in place. Bring your smile and water bottles!! Good luck dancers

What an amazing first week back so far!!! It’s been great to see everyone again. Dancing done differently!

Although the in person event will not proceed competitors are encouraged to participate in the Expos!

RETURN TO THE DANCE FLOOR!!! We are excited to see all our lovely dancers return next week. By now every family should have received a phone call, email or Facebook message by one of our teachers. As we all work to adjust to the new norm we will remain open minded, kind and positive. We will be starting classes back with a focus of dancing outdoors. This will help to ensure we can get used to maintaining distances before returning to the indoor studio space. In the event o...f poor weather we will be moving indoors even if at last minute. Please ensure your dancer dresses appropriately for the outdoors or indoors during this time. All dancers should have a mask in their possession but are not permitted to wear it while dancing. Each family will be required to self check your dancer prior to attending. Anyone with any coughing, unwell symptoms or fever will not be permitted to stay or attend. Each family will also be required to read over and sign a COVID disclosure prior to commencement. We want to ensure we do our part to keep everyone safe while having fun. Below is a reminder list to ensure a smooth transition into our new classes: *ARRIVE ON TIME *bring your own water *use bathroom prior to arrival *wear runners and bring dance shoes *dress in layers (long leggings/stretchy pants may be more suitable while outdoors) . Try to avoid bulky sweatpants We look forward to seeing you all soon! We are also working on a few outdoor appearances around town until the coming weeks! Reminder TONIGHT 6 pm is the final competition class of the summer!

This is our final week of outdoor summer competitive classes! We will take a two week break as we prepare for the return of school and fall registration

We were invited to do a brief performance for a gentlemens birthday today! We were joined for a short parade with some cute biker kids and amazing furry friends!

Attention Dance families. Over the next few days you should be receiving direct emails and or phone calls from one of us regarding the return of highland classes in September. A few general notes that will apply to all classes are outlined below. Please be patient as we have had to propose some day and time changes to reflect smaller class sizes. Our intent is to start back with outdoor classes with the flexible option of safely dancing indoors in the event of uncooperative w...eather. All students NEED to arrive with their own water, sunscreen (optional), bug spray (optional), running shoes and dance shoes. Each student will be assigned their own unique arrival and pick up time. Adhering to these times are vital in a smooth operation of classes. Students should bring masks but are not required to wear them during practice. Hand sanitizer is available and encouraged but if you prefer it not be offered to your dancer please advise us. We are very excited to see everyone again and to get things moving again while adhering to our county and community safety guidelines. Happy Sunday!

Happy summer break to all of our students!!! As we work to meet and adjust our classes to get you all safely back into your Ghiliies we wish you all the love in the world! We hope you are enjoying the various challenges, zoom classes and practises we have offered over the last few months. We hope to have a better idea of what September will look like in the coming weeks. We will both post on Facebook and our new webpage macmurchydancers.ca as well as trying to reach you dire...ctly. I’ll also be sharing some of our dancers who have partupated in the interactive highland challenge. Some fun choreography moves to traditional dances we all know and love.
