THANK YOU McMaster! On November 22, 2018, dozens of people registered to be part of Canada's network of potential stem cell donors, in support of patients in need. If you are interested in registering but did not get a chance to #getswabbed at our most recent stem cell drive, stay tuned to our Facebook page for more opportunities to learn, volunteer, and/or sign up to be a potential donor in 2019!

Want to learn more about the medical literature exploring stem cell transplantation? Thinking about donating but are worried about the potential risks? Come check out an article we published last year in The Meducator, McMaster University's Undergraduate Health Sciences Journal, exploring recent medical literature in stem cell donation and recipient outcomes. We hope that our work can dispel any of your potential fears regarding the donation process and inspire you to register as a stem cell donor. If so, we hope to see you during our next stem cell drive at DBAC Lobby on Thursday Nov. 22nd from 4 PM - 10 PM to register as a stem cell donor!!! Come join us in transforming the prognosis of the thousand Canadian patients in need of stem cell transplantation!

Get swabbed to save a life! Come to the McMaster David Braley Athletic Centre (DBAC) on Thursday, November 22 between 4pm-10pm to register to be a potential stem cell donor! We are especially in need of (a) male donors, because these donors are associated with improved patient outcomes; and (b) ethnically diverse donors, since patients are more likely to find a match for transplant from within their own ethnic group.... To learn more, visit our stem cell drive on November 22 and/or check out the following video on stem cell donation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4fVBtxnWfM Registering as a potential stem cell donor might take 15 minutes from your schedule, but it could mean a lifetime to a patient in need.
