Working towards the elimination of impaired driving is of the utmost importance all year round. During December, Halifax Regional Police participates in #OperationChristmas, a campaign featuring checkpoints, educational awareness and enforcement. NEVER drive impaired.
Thanks to our policing partners in Halifax for trying to keep our roads safe. Let’s all help them by never driving impaired.
Great news Halifax. Another way to get home safely. Remember to drive safe and not impaired during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Today at the MacDonald Bridge. Thanks the Halifax Harbour Bridges and Halifax Regional Police for working on this project with us again this year!
Thanks to @HHBridges for allowing us to hand out red ribbons this morning on the MacDonald Bridge, and to all the drivers who wished us well and promised to drive sober over the holiday season!
On November 18th The Halifax Chapter of Madd along with the Halifax Regional Police will be kicking off our 2020 Red Ribbon Campaign. We are graciously being hosted by the Halifax Harbour Bridges again this year. We know that things are different this year so we will not be accepting donations and will we will be in masks and gloves taking a moment to remind the public to not drive impaired, and to report impaired drivers to police Many of our volunteers are victims of this violent and preventable crime so please be kind as they thank you for keeping our roads safe. The Madd Halifax Chapter was extremely honoured to present the 2020 Terry Ryan Memorial Award (Madd National Police Officer of the Year) to the family of Heidi Stevenson last night. Heidi was an incredibly dedicated leader in the fight against impaired driving.
Let’s work together to stop impaired driving. #prr #takethepledge #drivesober #call911 #planahead
