As I've been formatting Deadly Diamond, I enjoyed picturing the Court presentation gowns being made for Lady HH's nieces, which Maddie describes in her final Egypt column for the Kettle Conglomerate fashion pages. Below are two Court presentation gowns of the era. On the left below is Edith Dempster (later Pretty) now made newly famous (again) in the movie #TheDig with her friend. It's rather like #Daphne's presentation in #Bridgerton, isn't it?
