Does everyone miss meeting in the church building like I do? Looking forward to the day we can open the building again for services.... sigh
Due to the Orange Covid alert, there is no service in the building until further notice. Elder George Toufexis delivers our sermon for sunday morning!
Outside Sign: October 2020
In this short video, New Testament scholar Mike Licona is asked if he knows of anyone (particularly a skeptic) who has ever turned to Christ through a debate, lecture or book offered to them. What an encouraging answer! Don't give up on people, God may use you to turn the key in someone's life.... https://youtu.be/q57KWTxCk2Q?t=1528

Miss Gale's Sunday School
Message from the Elders of Madison Baptist Church: AS OF SEPT 21st, THE CHURCH BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED. Sunday services will be on-line, either recorded or live-streamed.... As we’ve stated before, these are strange times. We found out this past weekend that the gov’t has increased restrictions in Montreal due to a feared second wave of Covid 19. When we opened the church again this past July, we had a limit of 50 people which was expanded to 250 a month ago. We were so pleased to see our brothers and sisters coming to church again and although limited in terms of fellowship and participation, there was a spirit of joy in being together. Unfortunately, the new restrictions limit us to 25 people in the service. Considering the fact that 17 people have to be there to set up, clean up, and participate in the presentation of music and the sermon, we would only be permitted to have 8 more people attend. Because of this current situation, the elders consider it best to suspend our Sunday service in the building until the allowed number of attendees is increased again. We will continue to be present on line through our church website and Facebook with messages and music until circumstances improve. Always remember, we are still a church and God is still sovereign in all this. As the Apostle Peter stated: Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. That would have been the text for next sermon in our series on first Peter. How timely. Be strong and of good cheer, remember that we are all only a phone call or Zoom meeting away for the moment. Also remember that our prayer chain is very active and ready to pray for your needs and to rejoice in answered prayer. This time will pass into memory and by God’s grace we’ll be back fellowshipping and worshipping and praying together soon. The elders of Madison Baptist Church
Can God work with you when you feel empty?
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here is Elder Fortis' message for this week.
The first letter of Peter the apostle was meant to encourage and instruct followers of Christ on how to live under stress in a hostile societyand this teaching is sorely needed today. As our culture drifts further away from its founding principles (biblical truth) there has been and there will continue to be animosity and persecution towards Christians. This letter reminds us of who we are as children of God and what it takes to meet the modern world head on with the grace and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
All of our Church's sermons (most recent and going back years) are online! Listen here: http://www.madisonbaptistmontreal.com/sermons.html
If anybody understands these times, it's Jesus. https://www.facebook.com/RZIMfb/videos/1052720941853144
Hello Brothers and Sisters, Just a brief message from the elders. As of august 3rd the government eased some of the restrictions to gatherings and after discussing the impact of them, here are some new regulations that have been decided on for the Sunday service starting THIS SUNDAY (9th August). 1- There is no longer a limit to the number of people attending (we’ll actually it’s 250 people, but we can’t seat that many!)... 2- The center pews (the long ones) are available for those who, WHEN SEATED, would like to remove their masks. If you would rather keep your mask on throughout the service, you can still sit in any of the sections (left, right, or center). When your mask is off it is recommended that you do not face anyone and speak to them if avoidable. 3- There is still no congregational singing (we’re as sad as you are about that!) We have included a handy image for clarity (SEE BELOW). Please contact us if you have any questions or comments. God bless you all, The elders board
We've got a new Podcast page! Check it out here: http://www.madisonbaptistmontreal.com/madcasts.html

There is no access to washrooms downstairs. -The worship team will provide music and lyrics will be projected, but there is no congregational singing. -Air conditioners and fans are turned off during the service. -Refreshments will not be served after the service -There will be no Sunday School or Nursery (online only) We also suggest you bring a water bottle and your own bible. Hope to see you Sunday, The Elders board
