And More! What you WONT learn: Specific material and secrets created and/or sold by working magicians who are still living. Things that require special materials and props not readily accessible to anyone. More Information: I have put together a number of different magic effects that can be learnt at almost any age. I started learning this material between 8-10 years old; and a lot of it I still use to this day at my paid walk around and table hopping events. This is magic that is directed at both the working and hobbyist magician. Whether you are a youth in school that would like to impress your peers and break out of your shell, or an adult wanting to learn something new, this course is for you! This isnt material you will find in any cheap magic kit; but rather, stuff you will actually WANT to use. For return students, there will be an Intermediate and Advanced course. The number of participants will be limited due to covid-19 regulations and social distancing. I have been trying to take a new approach with my magic lately to help others who are struggling with life. The stresses, the discouragement, and right now, covid-19. I am also putting together a work shop that will be available for beginners as well as intermediate and more advanced magic for those who are interested. I am open for business, taking bookings, following Covid-19 guidelines. I have revamped and upgraded my kids shows (social distancing), and my all ages and adult 18+ comedy magic shows have been upgraded substantially. Please Share!

With phase 3 of Saskatchewan re-opening in place, we are permitted to have gatherings of 15 people indoors, and 30 people outdoors. I have switched out a few routines in my kids shows that were hands on participation to vocal participation so everything is within the guidelines. Little morning magic!

Real magic. This weekend we welcomed the newest member to our family. Oaklyn Harlowe. She was born May 6th at 12:05. 6lb 13oz.

I see a lot of people trying to "give" in this trying time. Some people are making extra food and providing essentials to those in need. I dont have much to give, as I am self-isolating in my studio this weekend by choice. I have no signs or symptoms of anything, but with my girlfriend carrying our child and due in a few weeks I dont want to take any chances. Ive quarantined myself and I am about 4 hours in.. and I am bored. I know kids are out of school and may be bored a...s well with the recommendation or staying inside and social distancing. If any kids want to learn some magic I am offering some skype sessions free of charge. Its all I really have to give right now. Nothing crazy, but just something to possibly spark interest and give the kids something to do in their time off if they would like. Im not talking about exposing or exploiting mind blowing secrets that creators have spent years creating, or anything that would expose what other paid magicians are doing to earn income. Im not about that. Just basic stuff I learned as a kid for fun playing around with and maybe showing friends and family. ** Update ** March and early to mid April shows have been cancelled. I still have shows booked for the end of April but we will have to monitor the Covid-19 situation and see where we are at closer to those dates now that it has become much more serious. Anyone curious about what I am doing to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as an entertainer: 1. Props, equipment and materials I bring with me while performing will be sanitized (if they are reusable), or new (things that are f...ully or partially exhausted during performance). 2. As my shows are created heavily with audience interaction and participation, certain effects will be swapped out or performed solo under a different story line. Routines with audience participation will happen at a distance whenever possible. This may not sound like participation to some of you, but participation doesnt necessarily mean I have a person on stage with me, but rather participating from their seat. 3. I will shower before leaving home, and wash my hands again before and after performing (I do this anyway, but it doesnt hurt to mention), and I encourage everyone I perform for to do the same. 4. If I am not feeling %100 I will try let you know in advance as far ahead if time as possible and I encourage others to do the same if you have hired me for entertainment. 5. If you are having to postpone or cancel a show last minute, at this time there will be no penalty as I understand the severity of the situation. But please try and let me know as far in advance are possible. With that said, my entertainment business provides an important source of income for my family and I. I would rather take necessary precautions than just "STOP".. But I do understand if you are self isolating, recovering, or taking distant precautions yourself. I believe in taking preventive measures, but I also want you to feel comfortable in having me at your party or event without fear of possibly spreading the virus further. Thanks Everyone! 2 Days, 4 Shows (one close-up, 2 kids shows and one R-Rated Adult show) and thats a wrap! Im burnt out, haha. BUT, I am very grateful for the opportunities and joy we all shared. No complaints, as I know many of my fellow entertainers have had cancellations due to precaution with Covid-19. I too am waiting to hear back on a few shows at this time. I hope the full time entertainers I know are able to stay afloat during this time. Thanks everyone for having me out, its been a great weekend!! :)

Running Wild Rescue has been helping Moose Jaw and surrounding areas (not even necessarily close) for quite awhile now. They rescue animals from all over and help bring them back to health, and then find them their forever homes. This is beneficial not only to the animals in need, but also to those who need THEM! Unfortunately, the process... of making this all work isnt cheap. They need funds for vet/medical bills, food and supplies, a space to provide shelter for the animals before they make their way to a new home, and then travel expenses on top of all that. And none of this comes free of charge. In purchasing a ticket to this fundraiser, you are helping another pet find a family, and a family find a pet, who need each other mutually. Now.. What can you expect from me?? If you have ever been interested in what I do as a magician/entertainer, this is your opportunity to come out and enjoy some magic and comedy. 95% of the performances I do are private, whether it be for a business, a private party, a birthday, or a specific fundraiser. I have no idea when my next PUBLIC show will be. If you have been following me for the last few years (my personal account, my kids/all ages or adult magic page) and thought "I wouldnt mind seeing what he does"; this is your chance. Maybe you have stumbled across my YouTube channel and thought "thats not for me.. thats all kids stuff".. Well, that is because 90% or more of what I post publicly is FOR KIDS, haha. Its a channel for kids and from the beginning I have always set out to keep it kid friendly. The content that I upload to my channel/pages is only mediocre routines. I save my best material for my live shows, because I want people to experience that content in person rather than on a screen and have the opportunity to interact and become emotionally invested in what is going on. Next fridays show/material is going to be VERY different. Its a mixture of comedy and magic, and it is DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS. There will be adult themed material (and lots of it). This means mature audience only! And hopefully you have a sense of humor haha. There is magic, of course, but the comedy leans towards more of a crude, non filtered humor that I would not normally perform for even an all ages audience. I feel like it is all still in good taste, and at the end of the day, I hope no one finds it too inappropriate or offensive in any way. I have created a second magic page for my "adults only" comedy magic. I figured this was the best approach in separating services and content between the two (childrens and all ages entertainment) services I provide. I dont want those who are familiar with me to think I have changed what I have been doing as a childrens entertainer the last few years. I also dont my adult rated magic to be mixed up with my childrens/all ages magic, which is why I have chose to create a com...pletely separate page rather than combine services into one. Dont worry, if a minor happens to stumble across that page they wont find anything too bad. Remember this is still comedy magic and not x-rated content of any sort haha. This type of material has some.. colorful language. Not necessarily swearing; but adult themes, topics and words. Something I wouldnt want directed towards children by any means. My focus remains to provide kids with safe content and entertainment as always; I just dont want to limit myself to ONLY working that area. Using my full name and wearing a suit SHOULD differentiate me enough from Magic by Chris and the colorful outfit I wear, as I have never advertised myself as anything other than "Magic by Chris". **SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED** Parents! People involved with kids, or anyone else who has a suggestion! Over the last year I have performed at quite a few events that were for adult audiences. I kept things pretty clean and rated PG, but I have a LOT of material that is directed towards "Adults ONLY". Its funny stuff, but there is some language, and adult based themes that I definitely wouldnt want any kids seeing. So! Obviously I am not going to promote, advertise or put of a...ny of that content in this page, as I always want to keep this page kid friendly, considering that has always been my focus. At the same time, I would like to get more into performing for older crowds and adults, so my problem lies in "How do I present and promote adult based material without it affecting my kids show personality?" Do I create a new page focused towards adult directed entertainment?? And those of you who are interested could Like the page, those who arent leave it alone and you wont see anything from it. I figure that would be a pretty safe route to take. Thoughts?? See more
