HAIR STORY My client was wanting a few lighter pieces throughout her hair, she felt that after growing out her colour she would start afresh. She was a natural light brunette and adding a few light pieces was her goal. After her appointment with her stylist, she noticed her blonde was barely noticeable not in the sense that it wasn’t light enough but in the sense that there was very fine pieces throughout. She then asked if she could go lighter. Her stylist ended up ...lightening her base and now instead of having a light brunette it turned coppery and her hilights even more hidden. Yes it was lighter but not in the way she wanted. . It’s no wonder my client was so nervous when she came to see me. I can’t imagine going through something like this. Her hair had suffered enough. Bronde . - Client’s second visit since we corrected her color late last year. I was super excited to see her as the last time I saw her I corrected what looked like extreme brass and densely applied balayage. To correct it and I was able to break it up with lowlites, and lighten her hair enough to avoid brass. This time around we just added a few foils through the top and toned. SALON DECOR CATEGORY Entry for the @thebtcshow @behindthechair_oneshot #btconeshot2020_salondecor . I remember wanting to start my journey as an independent stylist by leasing a salon suite, but being that we are in British Columbia Canada and we don’t have that kind of structure, I opted to start my journey in what is a 312 sq.ft. studio. To me this space is a hybrid, not small enough to be a salon suite ( as it has space for two salon chairs a makeup station and recepti...on) but not large enough to be a salon either. However, when we found it we knew it was perfect. I had envisioned a very chic design that was inviting and luxurious at the same time. It is now fully equipped with nothing to lack for. One of my favourite features is the Italian made island sink that is extremely comfortable for my clients and myself. I also love the custom made open color bar, some people may see no need for a cute backsplash but I beg to differ. Although it’s small in comparison with many salons the storage space for the stylists stations is incredibly spacious for all the hair tools we require of course. I cannot be happier with this space. I also love how special my clients feel when I use the celebrity style makeup station, that was my goal from the beginning. Also during these times it’s great for controlling the environment and keeping everyone safe. NOTE> She is a Natural brunette - we use a Demi permanent color to cover some silvers and this helps keep her base cool (no pun intended) this also allows for a seamless growout as the color does not wash out red or orange.
