At our last meeting it was decided to have 10 randomly selected landowners picked every year. Without landowners we don’t have trails! Yesterday we started delivering personalized letters thanking them for allowing us the privilege to access their properties. Included with the letter was a gift card for a local business in the Magnetawan area. Thanks

We started our Ambassador program last year. This year we have had many step forward to help out as well. Our groomer operators all mentioned, after 3 days out packing 12 hours each day, with two groomers. They very much appreciated all the work you guys have done. A big Thank You goes out to Roger Roland, John and Sue Britten, Mihan’s, Tim and Sharon Brunton , Paul Lindsay, John and Tracy Puharich. New volunteers this year are David D’Ambra, Kathy and Jeff Baker, Paul Bruchett and Wayne Bentley and Ewen, Ryan, Ethan Cameron.. Thanks you for all you have done for our club! Now we need more snow and cold.
Both groomers out today and will be back out the next two days. Still need more snow and cold! Be patient, we are working on them. Keep an eye on the ITG. A big Thank You to all our amazing volunteers!
The club in Barrie, just lost part of B109, guess why? Landowner rescinded access due to riders on his property while the trails were closed. What part of closed, do you not understand! Stay off till they are open.
Be Patient! If the trails aren’t open there is a reason. Just sayin !
Busy two days out packing and clearing up the last of the fallen trees. A big thank you to Paul ,Wayne and Matt! They have also agreed to be part of our Ambassador program. Thanks!
Merry Christmas to all! Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Finishing off signage of our trails! Thanks Jay and Norm for your help.
Having fun while working!
Awesome 3 days of trail work! Thank you to all the volunteers who came out. Without you trails wouldn’t be ready to ride! Bridges repaired, fields staked , trees cleared and signage was updated!
Here we go again the 4x4-wheeler's , Well the dam people driving them on Snowmobile trails ruin it for all by using them for Hunting & other travels . Then th...is happens & gives a Bad name to the Snowmobile Clubs & the riders who pay big money to use them.. It takes Time ,, big money , man power & a Bad Name when this is done., I would like to send a big thank you to the Magnetawan Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club & the members who had to go do this work installing a gate , along with posts ,signage , rental equipment & their hard labour to erect the gate . Please try to follow the rules 4-Wheeler,s . Thanks Stay Safe See more

Thank you everyone that helped out this year at Drag at the Mag!!!! Thanks to the sponsors the spectators and all the racers. This year there are many new chall...enges ahead. We normally split up our donations between more than 4 groups and other smalls too This year it was a unanimous decision to donate where it is needed most at our local food bank. They are in great need. So if u can donate please reach out to them. Joy at 7055710125 Thanks again Magnetawan Fire Dept Magnetawan Lions , Magnetawan Ridge Runners for your generosity in this decision. On another note we have decided not to collect from our sponsors post event this year as we all know many small businesses need help too. Stay strong and try to help a small business in our area with a small purchase or gift cards etc.. Stay Safe racers and race fans! Hope to see u all in 2021. See more
None of us could have predicted the requirement to end our season, but behind the scenes there’s a lot of work taking place using technology in place of face to... face meetings. District Grooming Committees have been working closely with the OFSC Fleet Team and efforts are underway planning for the 2021 season. Over the last 3 weeks, 11 Districts have attended fleet meetings virtually to discuss the necessary repairs and refreshments needed for their equipment as the fleet team is compiling the information to build a fleet plan for presentation to the OFSC Board of Governors. A big shout out to our volunteers for the hard work and determination to deliver the best season yet!
Our AGM on April 4th has been postponed. I will post a new date once the dust has settled. STAY SAFE!
This has been an interesting year in all aspects. The Magnetawan Ridge Runners would like to thank all landowners for the use of their properties for our trails, permit holders who chose our club, and all of the sledders who graced our trails this season. See you all next year!
IMPORTANT! Our meeting on Sat 21st of March is Cancelled! Our AGM will be Sat 04th Apr at the Grill and Grocery. Come for the meeting at 10am and stay for lunch! Everyone is welcome!
After a week of warm weather and no snow, now comes the rain! Our team of volunteers have been awesome, doing what they can with what they have to work with all year. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. It’s with disappointment we must close our trails. Remember to check the ITG for sledding opportunities. And a big Thank You for all your support.
After a busy weekend of riders. Our Groomer Manager was out checking the trails. With the warm temps and sun. The road running and trails are deteriorating quickly. Also take Caution along Suomi road. The ditches are melting quickly! We will be out monitoring daily.
I have never seen so many sleds in a day! Glad to see you all were able to get up here and enjoy our beautiful trails. Remember Groomers operate 24/7 and stay on your side! Ride safe and have fun.
If you found this on the trail? You could help out. Send me a message. Thanks Ken

Get out and enjoy the day! Support the Magnetawan Ridge Runners and Our District 10.
Just a quick reminder to our riders. We have been trying hard to make trails available and there is some good riding on the trails posted open but the trails t...hat are marked closed are littered with fallen trees and DEEP open water holes. You may see some groomer tracks on them but that does not mean they are available for riding. You would help the grooming team by please staying off them as they are trying to make a base. Please check the I.T.G. for available trails. Thank-you for all your support. See more

Magnetawan is providing a Staging parking Lot for all Sledders. Start your day in Magnetawan!
Warm Temps and Rain is not helping us out! Last two days the trails were reinspected for signage. All is good. Thanks goes out to Bob, Jamie, Nigel, John and Sue. Very much appreciated by all. Lots of creeks have opened up and swamps are not safe. We need cold and more snow!... Remember to check the OFSC ITG map for updates.
We got some holes filled on C101. Unfortunately with last night's rain it will cause a delay on trails. Good news its snowing this morning cross our fingers we lots.
All our volunteers have been working hard this last week , all trails need to be re inspected after groomed to insure all signage is up and correct before the trails can be shown as available. This is for insurance liabilities. This is being done the next two days. If all goes well we will be riding soon. Thanks for your patience!
Things are happening!

For specific trail ava...ilability details, always consult the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide (ITG) at www.ofsc.on.ca prior to accessing snowmobiles trails.
