Pretty good information apart from the painting, it is easy to paint as boards have a very smooth surface, so long as the correct primers are used that are suitable for alkaline substrates. Always conduct a cross-hatch-tape-test when trying new paint products. The Achilles Heel for MgO boards, as witnessed in Denmark, is related to excess chloride ions which react with water to form corrosive elements. The only sure way to protect against this is to buy well made boards and have them tested for halogens and excess chloride ions. These are standard tests in China and are conducted on every batch ordered using the MOCA QA supply channel. Efforts are in place to get MagO boards officially recognized as a mold resistant wall board with anti microbial characteristics for Houston and PR. There is a lot of rebuilding needed, lets work smart.

Although we do not have a complete cradle to grave analysis we do know that MagO boards have lower embedded energy and absorb and sequester 1kg of CO2 per square meter over 12 years. Contact us for a copy of the peer reviewed CO2 sequestration paper.

Happy to state that MagO boards contain no silicates, only minerals we need for health. Don't breath the dust but if you do there is no increased risk of silicosis.
