The 1000 hour reading challenge has been issued!! We need every student to read 30 minutes a day. This can include reading a story as a family and it counts for all the kids! #mesreads

Day of Hope is this coming Friday. Our Jr. Hope Squad is asking everyone to wear red/white/pink on Friday as part of the day. #mesjrhopesquad

It is extremely cold!! Please be sure your kids are dressed appropriately even just for the run from the car to the school doors and especially if they are on a bus! Coats should be zipped and they should have mittens and toques. #dressfortheweather

UNFORTUNATELY after doing some checking with AHS and our divisional leadership team, we are unable to go ahead with our plan to have our annual Costume Parade outside on the football track. We will hold cohort parades throughout the day on Friday and will take a lot of pictures to post on our social media. Classroom p...arties will go ahead as planned and communicated to you by the classroom/grade level teachers. Pumpkin Carving: With the parade being outside, we won't be able to display the pumpkins like we have in years past. This year we are asking families to take pictures of their pumpkins and post them on Facebook or Instagram. Tag the Magrath Elementary School and use #MESPumpkins2020. Everyone who puts in a post, we will enter their family into a draw. The winning family will get a Large Pizza from SASH.

The lost and found table is getting full. Let us know if you see items that belong at your house and we will get them to the right backpack.

Alberta Health Services has launched a tool specifically for parents designed to answer all of your questions about symptoms,... next steps for testing and isolation, and provide clarity surrounding when household members need to isolate and when children can return to school. Ms F Mr Baldry and Mrs Vanhala took their classes to the great outdoors for science today. We are loving all these beautiful days to extend our classroom walls.
