Settle in for a 20-minute, guided meditation to start your new year off in a positive way. Instead of a resolution, you'll pick one positive quality that you’d like to enhance and that will become your theme for the year. If you focus on that quality, it will naturally become a larger part of your nature. https://youtu.be/Y61ijmjGq1o

COVID-19 Update: Guelph has moved to the yellow category. We have adapted to comply with these new rules. Maha Pura Yoga is doing the following: Restricting the amount of participants to ensure each person can remain 3 metres apart from others... Masks are mandatory at all times Attendance will be taken with contact info at each class to ensure ease of tracing No hands-on adjustments. Increasing cleaning of high touch areas such as door handles, lobby, and bathroom. No longer offering the use of blankets, straps or bolsters. Please bring these items if you really need them. We will continue to offer mats, blocks and bridges which will be disinfected after each use, but you are encouraged to bring your own. There will be a greater amount of time between classes to ensure the studio can be properly sanitized after each class. Monitoring Health Canada’s recommendations and adapting as needed. This may include postponing classes in which case all updates will be made public on Facebook and the website www.mahapurayoga.com What you will need to do in order to attend a class: Only come to class if you are feeling healthy and free of symptoms such as; a sore throat, fever, cough, headache, shortness of breath. Wear a mask at all times, including while practicing yoga on your mat. Place your mat at a minimum distance of 3 metres from neighbouring mats (there are marks on the floor to make this easier for you) Maintain a distance of 3 metres from others at all times, including when entering and exiting the studio Use the available hand sanitizer before and after class. Avoid the studio and self-isolate for two weeks at home if you’ve traveled outside the province of Ontario. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes. Cough into your elbow.

In Canada, we are so lucky to be surrounded by natural beauty. Numerous studies have shown that spending time in nature reduces stress, uplifts your mood, revi...talizes, refreshes, and rejuvenates us. The Japanese even have a word for it: shinrin-yoku, which means nature soaking or forest bathing. When all your senses are immersed in nature, and you are fully present, it uplifts your spirit.
