SATURDAY BEGINNER FAT BIKE RIDE is on for tomorrow, February 13th, 9am in Mahone Bay! Monday’s storm brought about 30cm of snow to the South Shore and the Bay ...to Bay and Dynamite Trails are packed and rolling well. The cold temperatures have kept the snow soft and fluffy which is a bit more work to ride through but, on the flip side, soft for tip-overs. Tomorrow’s ride will be predominantly rail-trail with a few short forays into the forest. Dress for success with more wind layers, neck warmer, thin toque or helmet liner, warm gloves and full-on BOOTS on those feet! We will be more exposed on the rail-trail segments and it’s better to be SO HOT than wishing you had more clothes on!! I do still have a few rental bikes available for the session that would be suitable for riders 5’4-5’7 (2) and 5’8 to 6’1 (2). I will be continuing the Saturday Morning Sessions until the end of March so if you can’t make it this time....check in with us to book for upcoming weeks. We meet at 9am and ride until approximately 10:30, leaving from the public parking lot behind the Kinburn Pharmasave in Mahone Bay.
