The omicron variant is causing havoc across many sectors. Mahtay is not immune (bad choice of words?). Many of our valued crew are showing symptoms. Following Public Health regulations and rightfully wanting to protect those around them they are self isolating. Having said that, we are going to take an extra couple days to make sure everyone is well and returns to a safe and healthy workplace. We will be back open on Tuesday.

We wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year. May all this crap soon be behind us.

We are trying to figure our way through this latest Covid situation. For now we have canceled all events for the remainder of the year and rolled back our hours. The health and safety of our crew and customers is our top priority. We are optimistic with a quick roll out of booster shots and diligence we can get back on track. Mind you we have been fooled before.

Starting November 14th new public health regulations will be in place throughout Niagara. The biggest change you will notice, at Mahtay, is you can only meet with people from your household. These new regional regulations are in place for the rest of the year. The health and safety of our customers, staff, family, and friends are paramount. We support the hard-working people at Niagara Regional Public Health in their efforts to battle the pandemic. These new regulations while... understandable are nonetheless difficult for a place that is built on community and people gathering. We can’t guarantee we make it through this covid crisis. We will guarantee Mahtay will battle and try our best to survive. Hopefully, we will meet in large groups with big hugs on the other side of this.
