Keeping your home clean and free of clutter! ... - dusting at least once a week - put all boxes and packages away so they cannot spin a web - remove cob webs when you see them - remove vegetation from the outside of your home, as it attracts spiders and makes a perfect place for them to make their home! Chestnuts are always a safe bet! Putting them in your windowsills and along baseboards will steer spiders away. With chestnuts having a long shelf life you won’t have to worry about replacing them very often! Essential oils mixed into a spray bottle diluted with water, and sprayed in areas that are damp and dark in your home. You can also soak cotton balls in the mixture and place them in corners and window sills! Some oils that are good at repelling spiders are; - Tea tree - Rose - Cinnamon - Citrus - Peppermint - Citronella - Lavender - Eucalyptus
