"Escape is not freedom. Welcome back to Westworld, the Emmy-winning drama series that follows the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. In Season Three, the real gods are coming and they are very angry. Born into a world of pain, Westworld's android hosts were never allowed to go or see one place: the world. But now, at the end of the game, they're here." Click the cover to see reviews!, or click here to reserve your copy today:... https://lakelandlibrary.ca/sm/search/item/3019959

Congratulations to the Turtleford Library on the beautiful mural created and painted by the talented Bonny Macnab and her gifted apprentice Rebecca Knowlton. Great job Bonny and Rebecca! Thank you as well to Barb Ashton for the generous donation that made this project possible and to the Turtleford & District Co-op who donated the supplies and had it installed by R & R Construction!

"New York Times bestselling author Laurie Halse Anderson (Speak, Shout) and artist Leila del Duca reimagine Wonder Woman's origins in this timely story about the refugee experience, teenage activism, and finding the love and strength to create change. Princess Diana believes that her 16th birthday will be one of new beginnings--namely acceptance into the warrior tribe of Amazons. The celebrations are cut short, however, when rafts of refugees break through the Themysciran bar...rier. Diana tries to help them, but she is swept away by the sea--and from her home--thus becoming a refugee herself." Learn more about how this movement started by listening to Phyllis Webstad who was forced to remove her bright orange shirt on her first day at the St. Joseph's Residential School in 1973 https://www.youtube.com/watch

So glad to be back and able to help you. We are open regular hours now with curb side delivery by apt. The book drop off is open also. Phone the library to set up a pick up time. Books started coming in yesterday, so if any holds arrived you should have got a call or e-mail notification. If not please let me know.
