Grateful for farmer friends, chickens and dump trailer hydraulics. The gift of chicken manure towards 2021 crop fertilization is gratefully received. As was the foresight of said farmer bringing booster cables to use the van battery when the dump trailer one tired.

Saying goodnight to the beans using an urban farm hack: bike light on BCS tractor handlebar. Short days, dark early. Beans needed flail mowing so their mulch can feed the soil. Job done.

Garlic planting takes a lot of preparation. Many hands make light work, and now we await the 2021 harvest.

First time visit to Verona Garlic Festival. Quite the turnout, appeared bigger due to Covid-style queuing. Got what we needed to increase our crop by almost 40%, had great chats in line and learned lots too. New varieties for 2021 going in this October are Music & Azores.
