Employee Spotlight Meghan- Calgary I originally made the move from Toronto to Calgary in February 2020. Felt like the perfect time to live out the ‘quit your job, buy the plane ticket’ thing... In hindsight, terrible time to move... the whole world shut down a couple weeks later and with no job secured yet, I headed back to Ontario. After a couple months of family movie nights and endless online yoga classes, I decided it was time to pack up the car and head back out Wes...t to give this move one more go. Shortly after arriving, I found myself with another job offer on the table. However when I got off the phone with them, something just didn’t feel right... Not two minutes later did I receive a call for an interview with Mainstreet. I guess you could say the rest is history. All I know is in this time of total uncertainty, joining the Mainstreet team has certainly made this city feel like home! See more

Employee Spotlight Hayder started volunteering at Mainstreet Estates in 2016 as our resident translator especially for our Arabic community in the Guildford Area. We saw his potential and offered him a full time position in 2017. Born on July 1st 1987 in Muttanna, Iraq, he was the eldest of 9 children. After losing his mom, he decided to join the Iraqi Military at the young age of 16. He got wounded while fighting in the war and this was enough for him to decide that it ...wasn’t the life he wanted to live. To get away from the harsh life of Iraq he moved to Canada in 2010 to start a fresh beginning. He is now living a happy life. He is hoping to expand his newly started family with lots of kids in the very near future. See more
