Maison Kinder Montreal

Apple picking is such an important event of the Autumn/Fall season and at Maison Kinder we believe to give the children this hand on experience! The event consisted of an open invite to parents and children with their educators to travel on a school bus to the orchid and pick apples! The weather was beautiful; we picked apples, took a horse ride and enjoyed petting animals at the farm. The children were exceptionally happy and this was evident as they could not stop talking about this epic adventure.

In June 2018, we were proud to have our first official graduation ceremony for the children who were leaving to begin their new adventure at school. We are so proud of our children, each and every single one has demonstrated immense growth since having joined our daycare. We hope we can express to all that we wish to be more than a place where parents simply leave their children whilst they are at work. We want to be a place of comfort, learning and fun where children can f...eel safe. As educators, our biggest joy comes from seeing that a child has learned something because we have supported and encouraged them, we always went to push them to be the best they can be. Our children here have learned English and French, they have learned their numbers and their shapes and so much more! It is sad for us to have our class emptied at the end of the year, but we hope that years down the line parents and all the children remember us with happiness and good memories! See more

Maison Kinder held its first father’s day breakfast; we acknowledged that this was missing from last year and we always are thriving to improve ourselves and Father’s day is just as important as Mother’s day! We had a similar breakfast as we did on Mother’s day. We showcased the activities conducted by the children for all the fathers to observe. We must also mention that this event was open to all the family! Grandparents, uncles and of course mother’s too! It was a wonderful way to start the day with coffee, bagels muffins and delicious croissants.

Mothers are such important figures in the lives of each child, and what a better way to celebrate this at Maison Kinder on mother’s day! Our second Mother’s day celebration really showed our growth as the number of children increases so does the event! We held a breakfast morning in the baby room and another in the 18months-5 year old room. Mother’s were welcomed to see the beautiful artwork the children had made, which we displayed within the rooms. We enjoyed coffee, doughnuts, bagels and muffins. These events promote a healthy relationship between educators, our children and parents.

We took our annual Winter trip to the sugar shack with parents and the daycare. This year we adventured to a new location, where we had not visited before. We enjoyed our trip, which included a fun bouncy castle, horse rides, tasting the maple syrup with ice, and a delicious meal at the end of the day! We were also able to visit a small farm where we saw wonderful animals such as ducks, goats, peacocks and the children were even free to pet rabbits! We could see the joy in the children as they spent the day at the sugar shack and we cannot wait for another outing in 2019!
