Where do I start ..... March 11, NBA suspends season, 13th bomb threat in CBVRCE ... & Covid hits us & events across the Island are cancelled ..... It’s been a hell of a frustrating year to say the least, on many different levels, for mostly everyone. I’ve been in this business for a long long time and I have missed it dearly, to say the least. I have DJ’d on New Years Eve since 1989 & tonite I won’t be but I will enjoy watching and listening to my great friend & business... affiliate Peter Benson on twitch. On a positive note, I got to spend more time at home with by beautiful and supportive wife, as well with our dogs - our kids & coach High School Volleyball again. I wish everyone a happy new year and cheers to you all! May 2021 slowly come back & for that to happen, let’s all do our part to help that happen!! I have several events in the works for 2021 & let’s hope Covid eases up so events can take place across Nova Scotia. Once again, cheers everyone & Happy New Year! See more

The biggest thing to remember about this coronavirus is that it is PREVENTABLE! Each person controls there own risk of being exposed, if you stay home and limit your interactions with people then you lower your risk. If you do leave your home (as long as ur not sick) and if you practice proper hand washing, sanitizing of surfaces you touch such as carts, doors etc then you are still lowering ur risk. But going to clubs, casinos, restaurants etc. where there are many surface...s that people touch and come into contact with, have large crowds because they gather in close proximity then you increase ur risk. And the risk of your family and friends. Social distancing means avoid areas where large crowds are where you could come across someone who is sick. Allow for personal space up to 10 ft when your around people and remain diligent with your hand washing. Even thou all sick people should remain at home that doesn't always happen. So you are your own best defense. Being prepared doesnt mean stocking up for 6 months, buy enough food and supplies for people in your house hold for 2 weeks. Remember other people need supplies too. People who have travelled any where even just in Canada please self isolate or undertake voluntary quarantine. It is a safety precaution to make sure you are not carrying it. Even if you don't feel sick stay isolated. The incubation period is 2-14 days that means the amount of time the virus takes to start making you sick. If you have symptoms of illness call 811. They will direct you on how to proceed with seeking medical care and testing. Those in isolation may be scared and bored but look up things to do at home. You can still go for a walk outdoor, clean or declutter that closet/basement you havent had time for, have movie marathons, cook and rest. Lastly, remeber to call your family, facetime, keep in touch so you are not feeling alone or scared. You can do your part without cutting off digital interaction. We are fortunate to live in the technological era where ur friends an family are a video call away! Let's do our part, end the curve n stop the coronavirus in its tracks.
