For children living with CF, so much of the joy of childhood is taken away from them it is exhausting, both emotionally and physically. Genevieve is very artistic, and her talent amazes everyone who sees her sketches. She wished for a room makeover and a space to call her own that is bright and expresses her creativity and colourful personality. As a child who has to spend 2-3 hours a day in a chair completing treatment, she was over the moon to have a fun and comfortable place to do this. She really wants to be like the rest of her peers. Nine-year-old Max loves to play video games and Lego blocks. Diagnosed with an immune system disorder, he was granted his most heartfelt wish in 2017 for a space to call his own - a room where could play, dream and bring his imagination to life. Max spends a lot of time on his own because his illness makes it difficult for him to physically interact with other children. His wish has left a positive impact on the entire family. During this experience, "the family was all together," his siblings said, while his mother added, "it's the reason we keep going every day." 4-year-old Gavin is a talented storyteller, and also loves to sing and dance. When Gavin was born, he was diagnosed with genetic heart defect, and had his first heart surgery when he was 13 days old. For his wish, Gavin has asked for a puppy because "'dogs are my favorite things!" If possible, Gavin would like a small puppy that wears glasses like him. The search for such a puppy is currently underway, and whichever breed of puppy he ends up with, with or without glasses, he is sure it is going to be his very best friend.
