The @calgarypolice Calgary Police Service is a part of our Wish family - always up for lending a hand to make a wish extra special. Most recently they joined our wish parade for little Adam and escorted our Supercar Wish for Ian. We are so sad to hear of the death of Sgt. Harnett. You have our deepest condolences and sympathies.

Today on #NationalPhilanthropyDay we celebrate everyone who makes Wishes possible. In some cases our supporters turn life's greatest sorrows into something beautiful. Julie and Bob Hamilton lost their son, Tim, in a tragic workplace accident. Their daughter received a Wish to spend time on a beach somewhere with her brother, Tim and it was a special time for the family. After his death - to honor Tim's legacy and prevent tragedy for other families - Julie began speaking ...on workplace safety. The Hamilton family used those speaking fees to begin an endowment fund in Tim's honor to grant Wishes. The fund had grown to over one million dollars, ensuring that Tim's legacy will be to grant Wishes to children like his sister. Sound on! Gianni is a beautiful little boy who is living with a rare brain tumor. Sometimes it is hard to understand why our families must face the struggles ...they do. Gianni's wish is so beautiful, especially when you hear why he wants the wish he does. Gianni is one of the children involved in our Trees of Joy this year and will be receiving his own special tree courtesy of Arlington Group. They have been so supportive of wishes over the years and have brought real magic into the lives of many of our children. Thank you to them!
