When Arden was diagnosed with a brain tumour his oncology treatments started to affect taste buds. Upon treatment completion, his sense of taste slowly returned and Arden developed a new appreciation for food. He became interested in culinary arts and enjoyed researching and learning more about Japanese food and culture. It was no surprise that when he had the opportunity to make his most heartfelt Arden wished to eat at Michelin star rated restaurant Narisawa in Tokyo, Japan.... All his dreams were imagined when he and his mom travelled to Tokyo in September 2019 where he toured around the city and of course, experienced a nine-course tasting menu at Narisawa. As an added bonus, Arden & his mom met the chef and owner, Narisawa, who gave them a special, behind-the-scenes tour of his kitchen. When looking back on the wish, his mom said, "the trip was unbelievable. I had so many concerns about taking a trip after treatment, but it was a wonderful experience and he really enjoyed all of the places we visited. Tokyo is a beautiful city and eating at Narisawa was phenomenal! I never imagined he'd request something like this. I think he really appreciated being there. Thank you for creating this wonderful memory!" UPDATE: Arden is doing well and his has celebrated three post-treatment years and has started high school. #wishesworkwonders #waybackwednesday #wishwednesday See more

Logan is a fun and friendly 17-year-old who loves video games and graphic design ... his laugh is contagious! He was diagnosed with a brain tumour that was successfully treated with chemotherapy and radiation. With a vision of becoming a 3D animator when he gets older, Logan wished for a computer, desk, speaker and chair so he can continue to develop & master his graphic design skills. #NationalTechnologyDay #WishWednesday #wishesworkwonders
