The guys at CNC Ottawa have found a solution to spreading germs that we fully support. Jokes aside though, we are taking every precaution in ensuring our employees and tenants are safe. Over the weekend, Akil from The Box of Life held a Build Your Own Worm Bin Workshop and it was a hit! The attendees learned the basics of vermi-composting while building their new worm studio for kitchen scraps. Happy Chinese New Year! Check out this cool project that fellow Makerspace pals Jimi & Allie paired up to create! Written on the front of the linocut print card are traditional Chinese phrases In spring, it’s more splendid, Birds are singing, swallows are dancing, spring is coming with happiness & Pigs have left, mice are coming, things have improved.... And since 2020 is the year of the rat, they’ve whipped up a bunch of lucky keychains on the laser cutter. Jimi’s sent these handmade gifts to his family & has a few left over for anyone interested.
