Recently finished these matching bookcases. Each case measures 4’W x 6’H and has 8 tiers to hold plenty of books! Here are the owners of Huckleberry Books in Cranbrook doing the install of their new bookcases.

Progress on 3 piece maple countertops...just need a few more coats of finish on the top and theyre all done!

More kitchen countertops well under way. First set of the year was walnut, second set was a recently finished oak and this set is 3 maple tops...wont be long now. Im actually installing the oak set tomorrow...install pictures to come!

Bathroom vanity finished and installed recently...didnt get final pictures until a few days ago, looks good! The tiled vanity top was done by Kody Dann, a local tiler/flooring installer here in Creston as well!

Recently finished this walnut kitchen island countertop and matching shelves. Below are a few pictures of the finished products installed in their new home...looking good!

Countertop bolts installed underneath and a little fine tuning on the edge sander makes for a nice tight joint. Final sanding/routing done...time for a finish!

A few more boards just about done!

Been working on this furniture set recently. So far the black locust tops are done for the coffee table, end tables and console table. The base designs shown ...below are 1 1/2T laminated oak plywood which will be edge banded then dyed black! It should make for a really cool contrast with the black locust tops. I also plan on adding a dining table and live edge mirror to the set. Itll be a while before its finished but its gonna be awesome...stay tuned! See more

Just finished these big ol solid walnut corner shelves...matching kitchen island top coming up! Did you know that solid wood furniture in our homes is always t...rying to reach an equilibrium moisture content (combination of temperature and relative humidity)? This concept plays an important role in every piece of solid wood furniture ever made. As wood expands/contracts with changing seasons, you have to allow room for it do so, otherwise you may have problems down the road. Only the back 1/3rd of these shelves is glued, but the remaining 2/3s have floating tenons fit into elongated mortises. This will help keep the joint line flush at the top but also allow the front portion of the opposing shelf to move as needed. The hanger slots routed underneath are also a bit oversized. Without getting into too much detail, the climate you live in, the wood species, the width/thickness and grain direction of the boards also play a role in overall movement.
