On Sunday September 13, from 1pm to 3pm, bird care volunteer Kate will be bringing Alba the barn owl for a socially-distant meet and greet in front of our gallery on Granville Island. Alba has been under the care of OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society for nine years. She was found as a baby on a barn floor with a broken wing that didn’t heal well enough for her to be released back into the wild. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Elisabeth Sommerville's prints will be donated to supporting the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned raptors.
