Stay at home moms know what Groundhog Day is really all about. It's hard AF, rinse and repeat. I was a #SAHM for a few years because daycare for 4 kids was out of the question. And let me tell you what a stay at home mom is NOT doing: Watching tv all day... Laying in bed or taking afternoon naps Yoga, meditation, reading or anything that requires quiet and concentration Shopping and lunching with friends What a stay at home mom IS doing: Repeating herself over and over Laundry, cleaning, dishes, cooking, appointments and generally keeping people alive. Calculating the best time to shower, get dressed and brush her teeth Doubting her ability to do this day in and day out Balancing tuning shit out for her mental health vs listening to her kids to make sure she isn't missing anything important Feeling guilty for not making $$ Nobody knows more about #groundhogday more than a stay at home mama. She knows what's up. See more

Who needs blush when you can go for a walk in -20 degrees Celsius? . Working from home isn’t easy. I’ve been doing it for the last 3 years and it takes a lot of self-discipline. . But doing it with homeschooling kids is ... . I’ve always found that daily exercise helps A LOT to break up my day, lift my mood and help me focus and I encourage my kids to as well. They’ve noticed a huge difference . I’m on the fence about working from home at this point. On one hand, I love the flexibility but on the other hand, I miss the people and routine. . What about you? Love it or hate it? . See more

My kid says this is obvious, but I don't think a lot of white adults agree. A wise person told me (just last night) that change will never come without feeling uncomfortable. So it's time for us to speak up when we hear or see things that we KNOW aren't right. Both as people of privilege and as care providers who have the lives of birthing women in our hands. I know you'll be scared to 'like' this post, even if you agree. Because you don't want to rock the boat on your feeli...ngs about yourself or what others think about you. I'm not always certain if I'm doing or saying all the right things, but I know that I'm working at it every day. But you need to rock the boat. And so do I. (VBAC is an acronym for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)

I love this message when women are newly postpartum because it helps them accept their new body. But what about women who have ‘babies’ who are teenagers and they still have the same figure? I’ve had two c-sections and my last one was in 2004. I’ve got ongoing issues with that apron belly as I run and try to find clothes that fit properly. (They never really do)... Outside of surgery to remove the excess skin, all I have is the joy that my kids are happy and healthy, which I have! I hate talking about my body because it has NOTHING to do with me, as a person. And neither does yours Let’s make mom-bods normal so posts like these don’t have to even be a thing?

My kid should be away at university, but instead she’s home-schooling and using my car. Apparently all her friends are, too. #pandemicparenting
